Learners progress through the theory portion before moving into step-by-step practical demonstrations that show how the treatment is performed in a professional setting. What you will learn 1. Explain the principles of dermaplaning, its effects on the stratum corneum and vellus hair, and how those effects relate to treatment outcomes. 2. Evaluate client history, skin characteristics, Fitzpatrick type, pigmentary response, indications, contraindications, precautions, and treatment considerations to determine candidacy and treatment modifications. 3. Demonstrate proper preparation, blade handling, skin tension, blade angle, stroke control, treatment sequencing, and safe disposal for dry and oil dermaplaning. 4. Develop and perform an individualized treatment plan incorporating client preparation, treatment execution, post-treatment care, documentation, and appropriate professional follow-up.
