About the course
ISHS 401: Integrative Nutrition, Wellness, and Skin Health Continuing education: NCEA-approved continuing education, 10 CEs Estimated learning time: 12 hours of live instruction over 8 weeks Course format: Live Master Track, 90 minutes per week Kit: not required About the course This course explores the relationship between nutrition, hydration, lifestyle factors, and visible skin health. During live weekly sessions, you’ll examine client-reported habits and observable skin findings, then consider how that information can guide esthetic consultations, treatment planning, client education, and appropriate referrals. What you will learn 1. Analyze the relationship between nutrition, hydration, lifestyle factors, and visible skin health, including their potential influence on barrier function, inflammation, healing, pigmentation, and overall skin condition. 2. Differentiate common nutritional and wellness factors that may contribute to changes in skin appearance, treatment tolerance, and client-reported concerns without diagnosing nutritional deficiencies or medical conditions. 3. Evaluate client consultation information, dietary and lifestyle patterns, and observable skin findings to identify relevant esthetic considerations, treatment modifications, precautions, and indications for referral. 4. Formulate individualized, scope-appropriate esthetic strategies that integrate nutrition and wellness awareness into treatment planning, client education, professional communication, documentation, and ongoing skin-health support.
